Land degradation is a silent cost to Sub-Saharan economies, only noticeable when the land deeds to be restored. The main causes of land degradation include mining, agriculture and deforestation resulting in poorly performing ecosystems. The consequences are poor food production leading to food and nutrition security and in many instances conflict and displacement as people search for greener pastures.
We connect clients that have a huge net negative impact on the land with communities that need to have land restored so that these corporate clients can fund restoration work and hence reduce their net negative impact on the land.
